If you will check secular, protestant and RCC historians they all acknowledge that the early 1st century believers kept the Sabbath of Moses (also the food laws and the High holy days.)  People say "Paul said..." but most important of all Paul had no authority whatsoever to change anything whatsoever that YHWH, aka God, ordained.  2nd, Paul never even said that the Sabbath was changed to Sunday.  Nothing in the Bible says that.  He said Let no man judge you....in your observance....of the Sabbath, new moons and high holy days. He was talking to pagans and encouraging them not to let their pagan friends and families lead them away from the true holy days.  See where Messiah says, regarding the time after His ascension when the Temple would be destroyed "Pray that your flight will not be in the winter or on the Sabbath."  See The Pauline Paradox vids and all vid by Psalm 119 Ministries.

I respect SDA.  They were the first in this country to help people see what the true Sabbath is. I wonder, though, do they know we are to truly rest on that day, and focus on YHWH on that day, not  be out buying and selling and watching Netflix and making people wait on us at restaurants on the Sabbath? I wonder if they understand that the true Sabbath starts at astronomical twilight Fri. eve. Do they keep the high holy days that are called "for all generations"?  Do they reject Christmas and Easter as the pagan celebrations they are? But I am what is called Messianic. You might want to check out Psalm 119 Ministries to see that point of view. Their vids are highly scholarly but also very listener friendly. The Pauline Paradox is great. Their vid called Sunburned shows the pagan roots of Christmas and Easter and how the Scriptures make clear that paganism is not to be mixed with the holy.

I am quite aware of the short comings of the SDA. Being one, I am very observant of what you call out and more. But I notice you skipped over the importance of the Elijah message. It's quite a bit to explain here now, but suffice to say, our last prophet gave this Elijah message and talk about deep things! Unfortunately the vast amount of SDA have rejected this prophet. His name by way of reverence was Victor T. Houteff. Should you ever want to know more there is a great article on this message. Wikipedia-- Davidian Seventh Day Adventists. And no he had no connection with David Koresh and the Waco mess. That was "Branch" Davidians, who were a fanatical off shoot of the original Davidians by brother Houteff.

I just looked up Houtef quickly on Wiki.  Maybe it wasn't a very good source.  I see that he thinks the 144,000 come from SDAers.
